Frequently asked questions about joining a City Group.
WHAT TYPICALLY HAPPENS AT A CITY GROUP? . . .
Each group looks a little different. We have three main group types: Connect, Growth and Activity. Connect Groups often include a great meal, group games and meaningful discussion. Growth Groups bring people together to move forward spiritually through book studies, Bible studies, prayer or video teaching. Activity Groups gather around a common interest or hobby like basketball, fishing, etc. Even though each group is unique you can always expect to make new friends, be encouraged and have fun.
HOW OFTEN DO GROUPS MEET? . . .
City Groups meet thoughout the year in fall, winter/spring and summer sessions. During a session, groups meet anywhere from once a week to once a month. Small Groups are meant to bring meaning and community into the flow of your life, so even if you can’t attend every meeting, there is still great value in joining a group.
HOW DO I JOIN A GROUP? . . .
Joining a group is simple! Just contact the group leader through their email address provided in the City Guide. They will respond with group details and answer any questions you may have.
IS THERE CHILDCARE AVAILABLE? . . .
Childcare is available for some evening groups. Childcare will be listed in the City Guide in the group's info if it is available for that group.
WHAT IF I DON’T LIKE THE FIRST GROUP I TRY? . . .
The truth is, not everyone will find the best fit with the first group they try. This is why we encourage you to select a few groups that interest you, contact the leaders and try them out before choosing the best one for you. We believe there is a group that is right for everyone—including you!
