Sunday Curriculum

Sunday Curriculum

We believe that the most important thing we do on Sunday mornings is dig into God’s Word with your child. That is why we specifically choose a curriculum that does just that. Here is a look at the curricula we use as a church for our different age groups in City Kids. If you'd like specific information on what we are currently teaching, reach out to us.

Join us on the 1st of every month as we release episodes on "The City Church Parent Podcast". Our hope is that this would be a guide for parents looking to navigate challenging faith conversations with their kids, teens, or young adults.

Join Pastor Jeremiah & Friends each month as he releases a video corresponding to that month's teaching in City Kids. He will share a lesson, give kids an opportunity to interact with the video and there is a song they can sing and dance along to.

Your Child's Safety is Important to Us

In City Kids, safety is our top priority. That is why we believe in ensuring that we carefully vet those who take an interest in serving in the kids' ministry. This involves a detailed form with questions that are in depth, a very clear policy for what is acceptable conduct while serving, and in the lives we live as team members, and training opportunities that are focused on being aware of ways we can see and identify ways we can best protect children, whether that is CPR training, sexual abuse awareness training, or other trainings that help us keep our eyes and minds open to ways we can be most aware. Any adult who serves in City Kids receives a Level 5 background check through Ministry Safe, in addition to an interview that is highly informed by the recommendations provided by Ministry Safe.

We also believe that our environments should reflect safety standards, and this includes having cameras in our classrooms, diapering policies that heavily restrict who changes diapers, equipment that emphasizes child safety, and a security team that consistently walks through our kids' area to check on everyone.

For any questions about our safety procedures or the safeguarding measures in City Kids, we would love to connect! Please contact our kids pastor at jeremiah.storkson@citychurchok.com
